What if you lived like every day was Earth Day?

In many communities around the world, people are doing just that – recognizing that their well-being is inextricably linked to the health of our Earth and its other inhabitants. For example, in southern Africa an amazing project is underway to discourage farmers from killing elephants that destroy their crops. Organized by the Elephant Pepper Development Trust and the Okavango Elephants & People Research Project – with support from CI – local communities are now able to protect their fields without killing elephants, thanks to a creative strategy with an unexpected crop: the chili pepper.
