An economist by training, Joanne Sonenshine also has expertise in climate change and agriculture. Her work with CI involves advising corporate partners on sustainable agriculture, climate change and other strategic investments that aim to minimize environmental impacts and contribute to economic resiliency. Joanne also works with companies to invest in building, developing and advancing healthy, sustainable and resilient communities. Joanne has a master's degree in economics from Northwestern University. Prior to joining CI in 2009, she worked as an international economist with the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C.
