As the head of News + Publicity for Conservation International, Kim McCabe has actively applied her more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, journalism, video production and storytelling to further CI's mission to create healthy, sustainable societies that value nature's gifts and services for human well-being. From CI's headquarters in Arlington, Virginia where she directs internal and external communications, Kim enjoys using a variety of produced, earned and social media to help capitalize on and raise awareness of the tremendous innovations and progress being delivered by CI's global team. Prior to joining CI in 2009, she honed her skills in messaging and storytelling while producing on-air talent and content for mainstream media outlets in the U.S., including CNN, MSNBC, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Lifetime Television and others. An active traveler, amateur photographer and passionate conservationist, Kim is a great believer in the power of blogs, video, imagery and social media to educate, inspire and activate audiences about the importance of sustainable development for our future.
