I began managing CI's blog shortly after it launched in April 2009. Before joining CI, I had stints as a zookeeper in Connecticut and an international volunteer with the Jane Goodall Institute's Roots & Shoots program in Tanzania. As the editor of Human Nature, I'm able to combine my love of nature and interest in different cultures, and help our staff all over the world tell their stories — as well as tell some of my own. As I edit blog submissions from CI's many regular and guest bloggers, I am constantly learning about new projects, ideas and debates at the convergence of conservation and development — fascinating stories that inspire me to do more to help protect our natural world.
