Trond Larsen is a field biologist and expert on the impacts of climate change, land-use change, logging and infrastructure development on biodiversity, often using invertebrate taxa as a model. He is the author of a book and more than 20 scientific articles and book chapters. Trond currently leads CI’s RAP program, which conducts rapid biological assessments of critical terrestrial, freshwater and marine habitats around the world in order to guide conservation priorities and actions. Trond has led and/or participated in over 30 field expeditions that have discovered hundreds of new species, established new protected areas and advanced our understanding of ecological processes. He has a Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology from Princeton University. Read more.
