Conservation International’s Vision for the Future

In my 30 years working to protect the Earth, I have not seen challenges and more importantly opportunities that equal those I see today.

In the past, the health of our Earth has been pushed to the sidelines as economic development has transformed our world and the way we live.

But this is the moment when the global community has begun to change this unsustainable model and seize the opportunities to protect and maintain Earth’s ability to sustain us.

More businesses, universities, governments and communities are engaged in sustainable innovations than ever before. For me, having been in this movement for so many years, the cavalry has arrived.

With your support, Conservation International will continue leading the charge.

Over the next 20 days, our scientists and experts in the field will share 20 opportunities we are working around the clock to unleash.

Using science, business principles and policy design, CI is working with partners at every level to influence the way entire societies work, helping world leaders understand the importance of a healthy Earth to their people’s lives, economic success and national security.

I am excited to share these opportunities with you. I think you’ll be amazed at what we’ve achieved so far, and how our work is redefining economies, societies, and the larger human relationship to nature.

Here are three things you can do today:

1. Sign up for our Twitter feed to stay posted on all 20 opportunities.

2. Join our cause on Facebook.

3. Spread the word to your friends and family.
