Despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement, the environmental movement continues to gain momentum. Addressing a room full of environmental advocates at a recent Conservation International event, former U.S. President Bill Clinton summed it up: “Despite setbacks, you’re winning.”

The movement goes beyond the U.S. federal government’s decisions. Companies such as Walmart and Apple are striving to make their operations and products environmentally responsible, cities are taking preventative measures to ensure the least amount of carbon output despite growing populations and social media is providing a vital communication link between these initiatives, helping to fuel further action around the world.
