Notice anything different?

If you look in the upper left of this page, you’ll see that Conservation International has updated our ‘organizational identity’ – our logo. This new image better illustrates our new mission:

Building upon a strong foundation of science, partnership and field demonstration, CI empowers societies to responsibly and sustainably care for nature, our global biodiversity, for the well-being of humanity.

    Give biodiversity your best shot!

In celebration of the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity, the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) invites you to participate in our International Year of Biodiversity Photo and Video Contest. Please join us to help to educate the world on the value and importance of biodiversity and promote sustainable livelihoods for plants and animals in our global environment.

All you need to do is submit a compelling Web video or photograph that you think best captures biodiversity. For more information, visit http://thegef.org/gef/GEF_photo_contest_2010.

Love the work you do – DON’T care at ALL for the weird new logo. It’s odd looking – says nothing about what you do and it looks like it’s for some pill corporation. Much prefer the nice shaggy old one.
