Sue Taei manages various CI projects in and across the Pacific Islands region related to marine conservation and management. She has a particular focus on the design, management and implementation of coastal and ocean marine protected areas (MPAs) in tropical and temperate environments and their associated linkages to terrestrial habitats. Prior to CI, Sue’s three most recent positions included Pacific Whale Conservation Node coordinator for the Pew Foundation, executive member of the South Pacific Whale Research Consortium and Pacific strategic adviser for the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW). She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Auckland and her First Class Honours Master’s degree in aquatic ecology from the University of Waikato. Learn more.
